I had the pleasure of photographing a fall mini session with this beautiful family at Blue Oaks Park in Roseville. I cannot get over how cute this family is! With a cool October breeze and the golden light of magic hour, this family session was an absolute dream.
It was the perfect Spring day for a country chic wedding. Just outside of Sacramento, in the city of Loomis, lies a charming venue called the Flower Farm Inn. From the moment everyone walked into the the main house, time stood still and breaths were taken away. From the stained glass windows to the beautiful wood floors, everything in that bridal suite was absolutely adorable with its vintage charm. Surrounded by wonderful friends and family, it’s no wonder Megan and David had such a fun and beautiful wedding.
Megan and David had met while dancing at a club, and as fate would have it, the two hit it off. I must say, they were quite the dancing sensation at the reception. The day was filled with laughter, tears of joy, and an abundance of love with the beauty of the lush countryside framed around each moment.
The girls started the day getting ready at Vibes Salon in Roseville with some tasty caffeinated drinks of choice.
…oh, how charming the venue was…lace, teacups, and flowers, oh my!
David couldn't wait to see his glowing bride.
...and then the ceremony...AKA Pinterest perfection...swoon...
Party Time! ...complete with party socks...
Quite the adorable and fun bridal party...
It was like a stroll through the park for Megan and David's romantics. Luscious flowers and greenery surrounded my lovely couple with the sweet sensation of fresh blooms dancing in the air.
Each detail and decoration matched perfectly with the vintage feel of the farm.
The magic of the reception... and all of the feels that come with...

Four words: Spring Bay Area Wedding. Kimberly and Benjamin were married on a gorgeous Spring day with nothing but smiles and a wonderful bay breeze to add to the beauty of the day.
Kimberly and Benjamin met through their careers as paramedics. Seriously, these two are quite the tough cookies. After their first look, they couldn't get enough of each other. So much passion and love was in the air, you couldn’t help but giggle with them. From curious bobcats to romantic sunsets by the bay, Kimberly and Benjamin’s wedding was a wonderful site to behold.
Kimberly and her beautiful flower girls received VIP treatment
Gabby, my second shooter met the Groom and his party at The Embassy Suites
With the groom having a military background, pins were the perfect alternative to boutonnieres
Everyone met at CuriOdyssey for the first look
Patiently waiting for his Bride
And then, the beautiful Bride herself came into view and the two embraced each other with tears of joy
Because they chose to do a first look, we had time to get lots of extra romantic portraits in...oh, how beautiful it was
Ladies and gentlemen
And then they were off to Our Lady of Angels Church
And back to CuriOdyssey for the reception
Cupcakes AND and candy bar...yes please
Whiskey and polaroids...perfect touch
Fantastic food was served... my mouth is watering thinking about it
Quiet moments like this are crucial to cherish when the day is flying by
One of the locals came by to congratulate the new Mr. & Mrs.
Moments like this illustrate why I ADORE what I do
And then the magic of night hit with song and dance
Ah, the beauty of a sunset on the bay
It was a beautiful Autumn day... the sun was shining bright and warming the cool morning air. On this day, two people would be married.
It all began at Sacramento State University when Brett studied Engineering while Katie studied teaching. Both of their paths crossed through Track. He was a pole vaulter and she a gymnast.
Katie and Brett were married at The Wedgwood Sterling Hotel in Downtown Sacramento, transporting you back in time to the gorgeous Victorian era. As Katie walked down the isle with her mom, there was no denying the absolute love and affection written all over Brett’s face as he stared into his bride’s gleaming eyes.
Form vs. Function? I think not! Why not both? Katie was one smart cookie when she decided to wear these ADORABLE flats down the isle. Sparkling, pearly, and cushioned…what more could a girl ask for?
Sweet smiles from a group of adorable bridesmaids surrounding their bride…
Katie was simply stunning in her More Lee gown.
You can't forget about the sparkle...
Brett making some final adjustments...
My favorite part of a wedding… seeing the Groom’s face as he gazes into his Bride’s eyes for the first time. Pure emotion and love filled Brett’s eyes as Katie and her mom walked down the isle.
So much excitement and love.
How much cuter can these bridesmaids get??
You can never go wrong with the classic bow tie... especially in front of a beautiful Victorian mansion...
These guys seriously had me cracking up... I love my job...
The Sterling Hotel in all of it's glory. This downtown mansion was fabulous to photograph in. Every corner of the estate had a piece of history waiting to be explored.
After all of the family portraits, it was time for my model couple to shine in the spotlight once again...
We found a wonderful little corner upstairs, hidden away where they enjoyed peace and quiet with each other before heading back out to all of the excitement...
A lovely purple, white, and silver cake...
All you need is love!
Tasty Italian desserts...
The Wedgewood Sterling Hotel has so many pretty details... look around and don't forget to look up at the stained glass artwork...
Some kind words of wisdom and past memories from friends and family...
The first dance...
These two are just too much! Cuteness overload...
Dancing the night away...
I adore capturing moments like this...
The grand finale! Surrounded by friends and family, the evening couldn't have ended any more perfectly.
A huge thank you to all of the talented people who helped make this day phenomenal...

Leading up to the session, the rain had hit the Sacramento region. HARD. We had only one day that would work for everyone’s busy school/work schedules and what did weather.com predict? More rain. No matter what was going to happen, we were determined to have a blast, even if it meant getting a little wet. The day of the session had arrived, and the El Dorado Hills weather decided to smile on us and give us one big soft box of light to softly illuminate my lovely couple. Jeremy and Leslie rocked it. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect engagement session.
Jeremy's parents just so happened to have a gorgeous backyard leading into a trail through magical woods. What more could a girl ask for?
Some sparkling diamonds in the forest.
These two were seriously too cute. Truly beautiful from the inside out.
As we walked down the trail, I noticed a small area that HAD to be photographed. After placing Leslie's ring amongst the wood and greenery, it was meant to be.
Leslie and Jeremy were so much fun to shoot. It was a walk in the park, no woods. :) I can't wait to photograph their wedding up in the mountains at Bear Valley Lodge. Excited is an understatement.
There was a cool breeze passing through the towering trees above on a gorgeous, warm, sunny day May 14th, 2016. Under the pines and with a backdrop of bright blue water, Jennifer and Gerad said, "I do". I can't begin to express how excited I was to hear Jennifer was having her wedding at South Lake Tahoe. The views along the morning drive were spectacular. It was a destination wedding at it's finest. Jennifer's country theme in the mountains was so perfect; from cowgirl and cowboy boots to jeans and lace, the wedding party rocked it.

It was a warm, sunny day; a splendid day to be married at a stunning Northern California vineyard. On August 16th, 2015, Ashley Ferko and Luke Montgomery said, “I do.” at Scribner Bend Vineyards in Sacramento, California and it couldn't have been a more beautiful sight. The late afternoon sunlight parted through surrounding trees, gently moving with the breeze as music from the film score, The Holiday began playing. All stood while Ashley walked with her proud father and best friend beside her. After cheers of celebration for the new Mr. and Mrs., plenty of smooching/cuddling within the vineyard, and without a doubt, a good share of impressively wild and fun moves on the dance floor, Ashley and Luke’s wedding was absolutely beautiful.
Kaley and I go way back to the days of high school, so it comes to no surprise that I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her wedding. It was a bright, beautiful day in sunny Southern California and the May weather was perfect. The ceremony and reception were held at Heritage Square in Oxnard, where I must say, was absolutely charming. Later on, I had the pleasure of taking my adorable couple down to Port Hueneme Beach Park for their bride and groom portraits. The entire walk was filled with heart-felt congrats from random strangers. Many commented on how pretty she was and one individual even took a photo of Kaley and Jami. It truly was a beautiful sight to see.
My heart melted when I first held this handsome album. It is the Legend Album and I am happy to announce it's arrival to my studio. We live in an age where the physicality of images aren't appreciated like they were only a couple of decades back. Something awoke in me once again when I carefully unwrapped the binding and began to open the sleek cover. Just the fresh smell of leather alone was absolutely delicious. Am I going overboard? Perhaps. Apologies aside, this wedding album will knock your socks off, and trust me, it's anything but ordinary. The Legend Album is fashioned after an artist's journal, wrapped in genuine leather with a genuine leather strap closure. This album is printed on Fine Art Velvet paper, while Fine Art Watercolor paper is also available. Two sizes are now available in 12x12 (below) and 8x8.
For a timeless look and something special to pass down for generations, the Legend Album is the cherry on top of your beautiful wedding experience.
It was wonderful photographing this beautiful couple! We shot at the Cosumnes River Preserve and the lighting was breathtaking. This place was filled with a variety of locations to shoot with many shaded areas (much to our relief in the warm, late afternoon sun ;) )
Through the wheat, over the bridge, through the foot bridges, and onto the open meadow, their love shined through their eyes, smiles and laughter. This was the PERFECT place to capture their love for each other.Read More
The three of us had a blast on this couple session. The day started off dark and overcast but as we shot, the clouds eventually cleared and we ended up shooting with the warm, setting sun. Their giggles and smiles were highly contagious and how better to end a fun shoot then to go for a little wine tasting? This was the perfect place for a romantic shoot.
Kegan was a great model to work with. He had a positive attitude and would pose exactly how I needed him to. He is an excellent example of what determination can produce.

When I first met Esca the first things that hit me were her eyes; bright and stunning. She is wonderful to work with. Each time the shutter would release, she would have a completely different pose already set up. This made it extremely difficult to choose images to post, since there were so many amazing ones to pick from. I highly recommend her and can't wait to work with her again.

Had a nice little escape to the coast for my sister's golden birthday. Nothing like a trip to the ocean.

It was the perfect day to take pictures of these two beautiful sisters. Lauren is definitely the giggler and it's highly contagious :)
